Piper Autos – a family name your vehicle can rely on! If you’re feeling as though you’d heard the name Piper before, in terms of cars and garages, you’d be right.
Piper Autos is based in Sterling Industrial Estate, Newbury, and is run by Nigel Piper, but also involves his father Rob. Rob originally established the Skoda dealership at Ashmore Green Garage, near Cold Ash in 1981, and has continued to enjoy a close involvement in the motoring industry. The Piper name is synonymous with reliability, integrity and expertise, with the members of the family having together clocked up 65 years in the business.
Nigel Piper first established this business twelve years ago in Newbury before moving into the Sterling Industrial Estate. Six years ago he expanded into the premises at Unit 1c near the entrance. The unit offers plenty of space, easy parking for customers, and a dedicated MOT bay.
Class 4 and 7 MOTs are offered for all makes of car, as well as long wheelbase Transits and Sprinter vans of up to 3,500kg in weight. The MOT bay also has an Automatic Test Lane, which means that it automates some of the processes which need to be carried out to do an MOT test.
The Team
Whilst the business is owned and operated by Nigel Piper, it is very much a family concern. Nigel’s father Robert and sister Emma are both involved in various aspects of the business. Charlotte is the chief administrator and her duties include booking in the work and running the admin of the business.
