An MOT is not only a legal requirement for vehicles over three years old, but it should also be viewed as a vehicle health check to provide assurance that your vehicle is safe and roadworthy.

MOT’s are offered for all makes of car, as well as long wheelbase Transits and Sprinter vans of up to 3,500kg in weight. The MOT bay also has an Automatic Test Lane, which means that it automates some of the processes which need to be carried out to do a MOT test.

Piper Autos cater for both private and business customers. When your MOT is due for renewal, we can send a courtesy reminder allowing you to book 1 calendar month in advance – giving you enough time to prepare before the expiry date is due.

Recharge/re-gassing Air Conditioning

Over 60% of vehicles are fitted with air conditioning and climate control systems as standard these days. Many of us are familiar with using air-con in our car on both hot and cold days, but not many people are aware that like other parts of your car, the air-conditioning system also needs regular attention to make sure it is working efficiently.

You may not be aware that over 10% of air-con gas permeates from the air-con system every year, which means that it may not work as well as it should. This is why car manufacturers recommend your Air-Con system is recharged with gas and lubricant every 2 years. This service is not part of routine vehicle servicing, so if your vehicle is more than 2 years old it’s probably due a recharge.

By keeping your Air con serviced it prevents failure or running out when you need it most, whilst also helping with decontamination and reducing musty odours, sore throats, Flu like symptoms, and allergic reactions.
